Maa Kripa – A Story of Heritage and Hospitality
This about-us section of “Maa Kripa” itself carries a story. As a businessman, the founder, Umang Agarwal, traveled extensively throughout his life. From childhood, he held a deep appreciation for Lucknow’s rich heritage. However, as he grew older, he witnessed modern infrastructure and amenities overshadowing the city’s traditional charm and serenity.
A spiritual man, Umang always believed in starting his day and any endeavor with gratitude and blessings. During his travels, he often struggled to find accommodations that met his preferences, particularly for home-style comfort, preferred cuisine, and hygiene. He harbored concerns about the quality of food preparation in hotels, where utensils might be used for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes without proper cleaning.
Driven by these experiences, Umang envisioned a hospitality concept in 2019 that catered to diverse preferences without compromise. This vision, guided by a creative mindset, led to the creation of Maa Kripa.
The hotel’s unique location serves as a bridge between Lucknow’s modern and traditional aspects. Within a 7-kilometer radius to the right, tourists can immerse themselves in the city’s heritage by visiting the Chota Imambara, Bada Imambara, Rumi Darwaza, and other historical landmarks. Conversely, the hotel’s left side offers a glimpse into Lucknow’s modern era, also within a 7-kilometer radius.
Beyond location, Maa Kripa’s restaurant caters exclusively to vegetarian cuisine, offering guests the option to customize ingredients and menus to their preferences. Additionally, to encourage guests to start their day with blessings, the hotel is situated within a 10-minute walking distance of Budheshwar Temple, the city’s oldest Hindu shrine. This beautiful temple, especially during evening prayers (aarti), offers a unique and spiritual experience.
